Listening

There are quite a few speakers who visit Cranfield to share their wisdom. One of my goals for the year is to listen to as many such speakers as possible.

Today i was fortunate enough to listen to two such luminaries who have achieved tremendous success in their own fields. One an entrepreneur and another a venture capitalist. They shared a number of insights on entrepreneurship. Even though, i dont have plans to start a venture in the foreseeable future, it was very interesting to listen to them.

I believe it is important for everyone to understand the challenges facing an entrepreneur, as in the current business environment most would be expected to manage their own division/SBU/Geography....pretty much like an entrepreneur.

My only concern is to make time to attend all such events. The MBA really takes a lot out of you and I've been lucky enough to have made it to all events that i wanted to attend till now. Hope i can continue doing this for the next 6 months.
